Art, Design and beauty education, above all. Here are the pillars on which the project of the MAD Umbria Museum rests, one of a kind.
The ambitious idea of Loreti Arredamenti was to create an authentic work, a container in which to celebrate the ingenuity and creativity of the great Italian designers, together with those from all over the world.
This is how in 2012 what is now the only museum of Art and Design in Umbria opens its doors, therefore a real flagship of the region, housed on the top floor of the Campello sul Clitunno Showroom.
The objective
The main objective of the museum is to involve, amaze and satiate a heterogeneous public through an exhibition itinerary that highlights the quality of 20th century Italian design. At the same time, there is a secondary intention, but no less important, that is to educate visitors in a critical analysis aimed at recognizing the quality of furniture and design objects.
The museum tour accompanies the public through the exhibition of some of the iconic pieces that have affirmed the Italian style in the world.
The Museum and you: The museum tries to involve different kind of public in its activities: from young people, to school groups, to families and enthusiasts. Among themed competitions, exhibitions, national and international cultural events and workshops, the MAD is everyone's cultural space
